Under the guidance of Non-profit organization, Coffee Quality Institute, Coffee being produced at the Kyauk Kuu Pyin village has steadily grown in yield, quality and price, this positive increase has also realised a much improved infrastructure for this village 12-km South of Mandalay, Myanmar. Focused on producing natural processed coffee, U Thein Tun oversees production for nearly 500 families in this village. Utilising raised beds and being in a dry climate allows the villages of Kyauk Kuu Pyin to dry their harvested ruby red cherries within 14-21 days which result in a consistent movement in the coffees thus having a consistent profile, having a full and bright yet extremely clean and delicate cup of coffee.
